This was the first commercial I ever directed. Many thanks go to Gene Salvatori and Trent Siegal for shooting the entire thing Pro Bono. I remember Geno's face when he asked about the grip truck. My response, "what's a grip truck?" The look was further improved lying on his back in the public restroom. The camera stopped rolling in the middle of a take, so Trent reminded him "You also have to pull hard to the left on the AC power cord while your shooting. The plug is going bad." The camera was antique 16mm non-sync Arri we pulled from the bottom of the closet at Pinnacle. The biggest lesson I learned? "It's easier to trash a public restroom than it is to clean it."
